The building is often the site for film shoots so check that its open before you head out. There's also a great view over Muizenberg beach and the surfers from the museum doorstep.

  • Description:

    • Originally built as a private residence by Count Labia and now a satellite of the National Gallery, this museum houses both superb temporary and permanent collections of art works. Furnishings and décor, imported from Italy, and magnificent yellow wood floors, will delight the eye of any connoisseur. This is a 'living museum' where poetry readings, musical evenings, writer's workshops and many other cultural activities, are held on a regular basis. The museum is also home to the Olive Tree Café.
