Public Question Asked by Jean N. about Cape Town
How can I watch a live soccer or rubgy match in Cape Town?
Can you recommend a website where I can buy tickets? If they sell out online is there a physical ticket office I can buy the tickets from? Where are these games held? Please help. Thanks!

Your best bet will be to log on to computicket's website and make bookings via them. I normally go straight to the Newlands rugby stadium to buy my tickets for rugby matches. Be aware though that the local rugby team (The Stormers) are on tour in Australia and New Zealand and will only be back here in a months time. Go to www.iamastormer.com or www.wprugby.com for more info on games played and pricing. Hope this helps.

At the moment there will be Super 14 rugby matches played in the Cape.Tickets can be bought through Computicket or through the relevant sports office at the stadium.
There are no international soccer matches taking place at the moment, but you will find club soccer matches being played in various locations. The best way to keep up to date with these is through the local newspapers and radio. The next major international soccer matches will be the 2010 world cup matches held throughout South Africa. We can assist with these

Cape Town is blessed with lovely sports facilities. Newlands has 2 test-standard stadia, namely Newlands Rugby Ground and Newlands Cricket Ground, which are situated right next to each other. Newlands Rugby Ground is also where the Stormers play their home Super 14 rugby games. A magnificent new soccer stadium is in the process of being constructed at Greenpoint, in preparation for the 2010 Soccer World Cup. Greenpoint is very close to the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. All tickets for major sports events can be purchased on-line from Computicket at www.computicket.com or on the telephone number + 27(0)83 915 3000. You can also purchase tickets from their many offices, locations of which will also be available on the website.

Thank you for your enquiry; most of the big league rugby games that are played are played at Newlands Rugby Stadium. To find out which matches are being played on which dates, you can look on the website www.sarugby.co.za for the actual fixtures. To book the tickets for the matches, they are booked via Computicket who can be contacted on 083 915 8000 or via their website www.computicket.co.za
Regarding the soccer matches, these you can find on www.absapremierleague.co.za and it will tell you the contact details on the matches as well as how to buy the tickets.
I hope that this can be of help to you, please feel free to contact us should you have any further enquiries.
