Gran Café

Description:

• El Gran Café is one of those places that play an important part in the traditional profile of Caracas as a city. It is a symbol of the old and peaceful Boulevard de Sabana Grande, which is now very crowded and almost inaccessible. This used to be a place for great intellectual gatherings, as well as a meeting place for politicians and businessmen, who used to have drinks or coffee sitting on the blue chairs outside. Its present clientele come to enjoy coffees, pancakes, ice-cream, sandwiches or sometimes cooked dishes like the Gran Café Pizza with chicken, ham, peppers, onions and mushrooms, accompanied by a beer or some other alcoholic beverage.
