Description:
- The industrial blight of Port Talbot may not be far away, but you won't be aware of it staying in this large comfortable house that was once the vicarage for Margam Abbey. The rooms are spacious and prettily decorated (two are en suite) and there are smaller rooms in a studio annex which can be self-catering (from £120 per week for two). The chief glory of Ty'n-y-Caeau is its gardens: the walled garden shelters plants you would not expect to see thriving in west Wales including a mature fig tree whose fruit you can taste in late summer. There's an orchard and vegetable garden providing wonderful produce for evening meals (around £10 for three courses). The house is within a few minutes drive from the M4.
