Vale of Glamorgan

In years gone by Barry Island was the place to visit for a quintessentially British day at the seaside. In its 1930-heyday, it was overrun with tourists enjoying the rides and attractions of the Pleasure Park . The park it no longer what it was, but it does still exist, and is a good place to while away an afternoon. Barry Island also offers amusement arcades, gardens, a promenade, quasar, Barry Island Railway Heritage Centre and, of course, countless fish and chip shops.
