- This place is a wonder to behold. The first storey building in Nigeria actually stands here and it has stood for years (since 1845) by Rev. C.A. Gullmer. Recently, some beautification was done and I'd say it makes it look finer but the materials still remain. It's made totally of wood and I bet you would want to see the inside of it. Check it out not only because it's the first but along where it is located you have the Marwa Gardens, the slave port, slave relics, etc. Also around here you have the first cemetry and the first primary school, a state library and all in the view of a beautiful lagoon front. If you don't visit any other place in Badagry, visit these locations at least.
