What's a good beach resort in Cebu that's not gonna take more than 2 hours to reach from Cebu City?
Good day! My name is Zar Francisco from Manila. Me & 3 other friends are going to Cebu this March 8 to 9, 2011. On our first day we will just be going around Cebu City. On March 9 we would like to go to a nice but budget-friendly beach resort that's near the Metro Cebu. Can you recommend any? Thanks a lot. for me Portofino Beach resort is a good one and very affordable price... you can observe silence in there and you can bring your own foods...it has white sand and they have also swimming pool. it is nearby Shangrila Hotel Resort.
It is located @ Mactan Island... less than 1 hour when you take taxi from Cebu City to Portfino. and its near to Mactan Airport.

Take the fast Ferry to Tubigon, Bohol and then on to Isle of View at Calape. you can be met at Tubigon if you wish. Not exactly on Cebu, but can be doen in under 2 hours. P600 double bed & breakfast. Kayaking, snorkelling and touring Bohol available.

if your into snorkling then you must go to moalboal bas dako its about 2 hrs south from the city.... but if you prefer a simple yet elegant white sand just to take a dip without stepping into corals then you must go to bantayan island a 3-4 hr trip north from the city

if you will be leaving for manila on the 9th then choose a beach in mactan because it's near the airport. there are tons to choose from depending on your budget but a personal favorite is maribago, bluewater. if you have more time i suggest you visit sumilon, bas dako or bantayan. if you're into diving you can go to kontiki or if you want to do a fun dive (for 3) let me know maybe we can offer you a good rate. :)
