  • With nearby schools like the Citadel and the College of Charleston, historic downtown has its share of small college town bars and pubs. Most of these are found near the College of Charleston, which is located in historic downtown. Having the feel of a college town bar, the Blind Tiger Pub is much more. The main room of the Blind Tiger is where you'll find music playing during the weekend, but the adjacent room and outdoor patio are often where patrons gather. The outdoor patio is especially popular on pleasant spring and fall evenings.

Charleston has a growing music scene that includes the Music Farm. Consisting of one of the larger music venues in Charleston, the Music Farm welcomes regional and national acts. Moe's Crosstown Tavern, though a smaller venue, is another Charleston spot that is great for weekend music. It's often frequented during breakfast and lunch hours for its food offerings.
