Description:
In its way, this is probably the most unusual compendium of real estate in Charleston: three 18th- and 19th-century houses clustered around an ancient magnolia tree, with outdoor tables arranged in its shade. Menu items filled with flavor and flair include an award-winning version of she-crab soup laced with sherry. Some of the best Low Country meals in Charleston are served here, especially the Charleston bouillabaisse made with market-fresh seafood and the seasoned shrimp and crawfish jambalaya with tasso ham and red rice. Grilled dinners are also a specialty of the chef, especially the black-pepper New York strip with mashed red-skin potatoes and balsamic-marinated portobello mushrooms.
