- It's worth a day trip to this 48-acre winery just 25 minutes south of Charleston where visitors can enjoy tours and wine tastings of five different varieties (three reds, two whites) that include Tara Gold, Magnolia, Live Oak Preserve, Palmetto and Mullet Hall Red. Each bottle is priced at only $12, complete with a beautiful label designed by a local artist. $3 gets you a taste of all five varieties and a wrapped glass to take home. There is a free Winery Tour every Saturday at 2pm. The Irvin-House Vineyards are closed the month of January. Be sure to bring a picnic lunch and rest a spell amid shady live oaks and island setting. - Natasha Lawrence
