Will be driving thru in August ( Grandpa, Grandma, Granddaughter & Grandson. What should we see in 2 days?

There are always concerts at the Von Braun Center in the summer....check into this for dates and groups performing. Huntsville is known as the "Rocket City" and thus: There is also the Davidson Nasa Space Center with the Saturn V Rocket on display; they also have a huge IMAX theater. There is an outdoor modern shopping center called Bridgestreet, where you can find many name brand goods (anything from make-up, clothes, shoes to jewlery), good restaurants here too.
There are also many trails that can be hiked in just a few hours: Monte Sano is a wonderful area.

If anyone is into racing, Charlotte has the new Nascar museum. Taking some laps around the Charlotte Motor Speedway is also a fun 1 hour adventure. There is the US Whitewater Park just barley outside of town. Look around downtown if you are from a smaller community. Check out any of the museums downtown.
