• Secret Garden is located around 12 km north of Chiang Mai, at the edge of Borsang village - the local handicraft center that produces natural papers, umbrellas and woodcarvings. Inspired by Frances Hodgson Burnett's book of the same name, Secret Garden is exactly that, an enclosed, parklike garden featuring a lake, tropical vegetation and small, almost hidden bungalows. Owned an operated by the hospitable Peter and Pai, Secret Garden is just far enough from Borsang to be quiet. While access to Chiang Mai proper is easy, Secret garden is probably best enjoyed as a base to explore the surrounding area. Peter and Pai will happily help you arrange your excursions.
