• The best burger to be had in Chiang Mai hands down is at this American style steakhouse located on the busy Night Bazaar and  on the east bank of the Ping River, between the Nawarat Bridge and the Iron Bridge. Definitely not cheap by Chiang Mai standards, their is value here in the truly huge portions and quality ingredients. Some of the menu items here are real heart stoppers, perfect for those famished after a busy evening's shopping. The swiss mushroom burger with blue cheese is a favorite, as is Joe's Famous. The ribs are good, as are the pizzas. Good quality steaks are a little hard to come by in Thailand, The Duke's are imported and up there with the best. Don't expect to see many Thai people in here; this is a farang temple to the fat gods. The cocktails are good and if you can fit anything else in after the main course, try the carrot cake.
