• Looking for a different kind of food and flavor with influences from Burma and an ethic group like the Shans from Burma?   Or are you looking for products you cannot find anywhere else such as Burmese curry powder, Burmese tea leaf salad, Burmese tofu mixes, Burmese Thanakar (natural make-up) or even Burmese music? This is the market you'd want to visit on Friday mornings. 
  
  It is located behind the Kalare night bizaar and in front of the Chiang Mai Islam Mosque.   If you can find the mosque (see map) you'll find the market.
  
  Many of them only speak Thai, Burmese or Shan or combination of them.  Best to use a little bit of Thai like how much (ghee baht) and numbers.
