Huai Nam Dung Waterfall

  • NileGuide Expert tip:

Combine with a visit to Mae Yen Waterfall

  • Description:

    • Huai Nam Dung Waterfall (meaning noisy water) is located in Huai Nam Dung Doi Chang National Park between Chiang Mai and Mae Hong Son. One of the provinces taller waterfalls, Huai Nam Dung showers down from around 50 meters into a shallow pool. These falls are close to Mae Yen Waterfall, which are also worth visiting. There is a large Lisu village of Huai Nam Dang that is accessible along a jungle trail or take the turn-off to this village near the Huai Nam Dung Doi Chang National Park visitor centre. The setting is particularly lush and tropical here and there are some interesting rock formations that make this one of the best waterfalls in Chiang Mai. There are also tours available that include the Elephant riding and bamboo rafting nearby.
