Located around 40 minutes from Chiang Mai on the road to Pai, Mok Fa Waterfall is in the national park so there is charge of 200 baht entrance fee for foreigners. The main falls is quite thunderous in the wet season and partially obscured so you might have to walk off the trail to get a good viewpoint, have a dip or get a good shot. The falls consist of two solid streams that drop around 40 to 50 meters into a pool. From the parking area you will need to walk for around 20 minutes along a forest trail There is also another smaller waterfall here, Ob Noi Waterfall, though it is less impressive. These falls are located around 20km along the Mai Malai Pai Road. The falls are a great place for a stopover on your way to Pai.- © NileGuide2012
