Description:

  • Wat Srisuphan was built by Thai ruler Phraya Pilok Pannadatiraj and his mother, Queen Suriyasawasdee. The original temple built in 1495, was destroyed and looted number of times only to be restored later. Rich carpets, bright colored ceiling and beautiful murals adorning the walls make for a grand tourist attraction. In the compound, classes and training session on silver-smithing are still held. It does not restrict itself to preaching spirituality but also participates in community programs like AIDS awareness. Call for more details.
