- This group was founded in 1978 as a progressive dance company. The Hubbard Street is now a training center, as well, boasting over300 students a year at artistic director Lou Conte's studio. The company is known as one of the best in the country, and performs all over the world. It specializes in a variety of styles, but is best known for jazz dance.
