  • Part of Chicago's fantastic theater scene is its' equally impressive and diverse dance scene. In fact, Dance USA will be hosting their annual conference in summer 2011 here in Chi-town. To see some of Chicago's world-renowned dance companies, head to the Harris Theater for Music and Dance in Millennium Park to marvel at Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, or see the Joffrey Ballet at the Auditorium Theater. Fantastic touring companies from all over the world often perform at these two venues, but very interesting ones can also be seen at the intimate stage at the Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago and at the Museum of Contemporary Art Theater on Michigan Ave. To see local cultural theater and dance performances check out listings at the Chicago Cultural Center downtown or at the historic Athenaeum Theater. For a truly impressive dance experience that showcases the artistically innovative work of local dancers and dance companies, show your support at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts (a historic Chicago dance hub), Hamlin Park Theatre, and Links Hall Studio.
