  • Lakeview/Wrigleyville is widespread, diverse, and full of fun places to grab a drink and have a good time. However, it can be hard to navigate the best places with so many options. Here are a few of the best for every kind of evening out. If you are waiting to catch a game at Wrigley Field or looking to go out after, stop by Murphy's Bleachers to be with serious Cubs fans and enjoy pitchers of beer directly across from the field. Walk just a few blocks west of the field for a laid-back evening at Guthrie's Tavern, where you can enjoy drinks and board games with friends. For a few local hot spots, head to Sheffield's to catch a game or just saddle up at the bar and make a new friend or two, or calm down after a long day of exploring at the Long Room where you can take your pick from an amazing beer selection. If you want to try the lively Boystown neighborhood, definitely try Minibar for its' upscale atmosphere, superb food, and wine selection. If you want music and dancing with your food, check out the famous Schubas, or if an Irish Pub is your style, try the Irish Oak. Finally, locals love bars on Southport, with a few favorites being Mystic Celt, 404 Wine Bar, and Sopo.
