Bellezza Gelato

• Walking into Dunning's Bellezza Gelato, you might not believe you're about to taste incredibly authentic gelato.  That is the case here in this tiny cafe located at the city's western edge.  Among the favorite flavors are banana caramel praline, Turkish roast coffee, and dark chocolate cherry cognac.  All of the gelato and sorbet are made with the highest quality ingredients: fresh fruit, whole milk, and whole nuts.  Since they serve up some delicious espresso in addition to the sweets, you'll have to try an affogato sundae: warm espresso poured over your favorite gelato or sorbet.  Bellezza was named the "Best Gelato" and "Best Coffee Shop" in the Chicago Reader's "Best of 2010" poll.
