- Built in 1941, this landmark building originally served the residents of Miller Beach as a quality bakery serving pastries and breads for 45 years. In 1986, the bakery shut its doors and a Chicago couple bought the building to renovate and rename, Miller Bakery Café. The new owners hired Chef Gary Sanders, fresh out of culinary school at the young age of 22-years old, to head up the kitchen. Four successful years later, he purchased the establishment. From there, Chef Gary's createive culinary artistry, fresh ingredients and ability finesse flavors have given the building the rest of its distinguishable character. In 2003, Chef Gary expanded the restaurant by opening a wine bar and cellar with the purchase of the building next door. In 2007, he decided to pair up his small plate dishes with incredible signature martinis and full bar.
