- By the size of the crowd, you might guess that this is the best Thai place in town. But, if you are looking for strictly authentic fare, you will not find it here. What you will find is a fresh California-Thai mix featuring variations on such favorites as Pad Thai and Lad Nar. As far as this style goes, Penny's is the best. The price is right, as well. Make sure to try the Thai iced coffee, or, of you want something harder, the Diversey location now serves booze. Waits can be heavy.
