Description:
- An art museum can whisk the mind away to worlds unseen and bask the eyes in the glow of man's abstract genius, but all the while the stomach is like, "this is cool, but when are you cramming me w/ mini-burgers?". Right now, w/ Terzo Piano. TP's the white oak-floored, translucent resin-tabled, 220 seat brainchild of the renowned chef from Spiaggia, who's filled the menu with lunch-appropriate, modern Italian-influenced cuisine sourced heavily from local ingredients, but as of now, no Froot Loops. Choice comestibles start w/ a trio of burgers (Piemontese beef with Wisconsin colby, Pinn Oak Farms lamb with Capriole Indiana goat cheese, and shrimp with Calabrian pepper spread), along with several other sandos like the local spinach and broccoli rabe frittata on brioche w/whole milk mozzarella and the arugula and roasted tomato-laden organic chicken "French dip", also Gerard Depardieu's go-to move for getting swimsuit-less guests into the pool. Lighter options range from salads like "What Came First" (hard boiled organic egg, chicken breast, arugula, house made celery salt, lemon vinaigrette), to olive oil whipped smoked whitefish (rosemary potato crisps, three color Cerignola olives) and the coriander aioli-infused crispy fried smelt, which frankly doesn't really give a damn who dealt it. For those who cake their teeth in sweetness, there's Greek yogurt panna cotta (strawberry sorbet, sweet pea puree, house made granola) and chocolate semi-freddo with Spanish peanut nougat and salted caramel, helping facilitate your stomach kicking back in its plush nest of your lard.
