• There is nothing quite like a tried and true, old style diner. Top-Notch not only provides great burgers to the South Side, but keeps the style classic and vintage. Frequented by families for decades, since its' opening in 1942, you can often find customers who have enjoyed a Top-Notch burger since they were a young one. It is complete with wood-paneled walls, a counter facing the kitchen, and plenty of booth seating. All the food is kept simple, with basic burgers and French fries, made fresh every day, as well as onion rings, malts, shakes, and plenty of sandwiches. The menu does get a little creative with the Western burger – cheese, bacon, green pepper, BBQ sauce- or the Mexican – Jalapeno pepper, jack cheese, salsa, guacamole, and green pepper.  Plus, the wait staff is consistently friendly and helpful. This neighborhood eatery is perfect for families and burger lovers at any age.
