If you're looking to take the kids out for some Mexican food but you still want a stiff margarita, try Uncle Julio's. You are likely to see several other families doing the same.
Description:
- This spot provides all the right ingredients for a fun Tex-Mexican dining experience: an exciting, colorful atmosphere, large, tasty portions and killer margaritas. Typical fare includes ribs, fajitas and quail. People do not seem to mind the usually long wait (call ahead seating is available) and borderline kitschy theme restaurant setting. If you are lucky, you can grab a seat at the bar with your friends and make a long but happy evening out of it. This place feels like a large house or hacienda, complete with chandeliers and antiques as decorations.
A second location in Lombard is also open.
