    Description:

    • Foster Avenue Beach is one of Chicago's finest beaches, a far cry from the crowded North and Oak Street Beaches. This beach is wide-open, with plenty of room to spread out with a large group, or just to find a quiet spot to read a book. The beach is also surrounded by a park, so there are ample grassy areas for a picnic with the family. Grills line the beach and it is pretty easy to find an open one, even on busy days. There is also plenty of room, especially on the south side, to play outdoor sports and volleyball players will be happy to find open volleyball courts.
