  • NileGuide Expert Says:

This beach is small in comparison to Oak Street and North Avenue, but has just enough lake frontage to serve as the launch for summertime triathletes who are trying to get their swimming times down (and acclimate to the chilly water).

  • Description:

    • As the old real estate adage goes, the most important thing is location, location, location. Perhaps this is why this small beach attracts large crowds. Its proximity to Navy Pier, hotels and the posh Lake Point Towers keeps it a popular summer spot. The beach is also popular with triathletes looking to train for the aquatic portion of the race. Beware—the beach does not have bathrooms or a field house.
