- The prolific firm of Holabird and Roche erected this Romanesque sports stadium in 1926. Since that time, it has been home to the Chicago Bears and hosted many outdoor rock concerts. With its natural grass and unclosed space, Soldier Field is a sacred landmark (even after massive renovation gave it a new look) to many Chicago residents, just like the North Side's Wrigley Field.
