Union Station is directly downtown offering great service to CTA public transportation.

  • Description:

    • Union Station is an architectural gem of Chicago, and a major transportation hub for commuters. The station is emblematic of the Roaring Twenties, designed by the great architect Daniel Burnham. It does not have the same passenger flow as it did in the 1940's, when about 100,000 passengers passed through the station per day, however its six train routes offer great service for commuters and visitors daily. The Union Station's Great Hall, also designed by Burnham is truly spectacular with its marble floor, Corinthian columns, and atrium ceiling. Union station offers a food court, French market, newsstands, flower shops, two bars, and a game room.
