This 19th-century mansion in the center of town has been transformed into a well-run hotel. The hotel opens onto views of the river Vienne and lies close to the medieval heart of Chinon. Rooms are midsize and filled with character, each tastefully and comfortably furnished, and each with a private bathroom with tub or shower. The grace note of the hotel is its private garden and terrace, where you can enjoy a drink. Some rooms, just as good as those in the main building, are in an annex manor house, the Maison Bourgeoise.
