• The name Bar Tabac somehow brings to mind thick cigarette smoke, but this French bistro near Rudolfplatz is too large for smoke to linger here for long. Bar Tabac is a place for eating in with a traditional take-out bakery at the entrance, and is famous for its wonderful original French cuisine. The menu is divided between meat, fish and starters such as salads or quiches. There are mussels and snails too, not forgetting pancakes from Alsace. The classic bistro ambiance is engulfing and the restaurant is an ideal place to hang out.
