  • Whether you're on your honeymoon or have been married for 30 years, you won't have any trouble finding romance in Colorado Springs. The atmosphere alone is enough to make just about anyone fall in love. Hike, ride, or drive with your loved one to Colorado's most iconic summit, Pikes Peak. Towering 14,110 feet above Colorado Springs, this mountain serves as one of the nation's most famous landmarks. Access to the summit can be obtained via the Pikes Peak Cog Railway, or by driving the Pikes Peak Highway which winds through stands of pine and aspen before cresting above the tree line. In addition to the majestic scenery, the temperature at the top is about 20 degrees cooler, so be prepared to do some serious hugging.

Spend a day exploring Mueller State Park. This park allows for complete forest access without needing a four-wheel drive vehicle to do so. It sports 55 miles of trails for hiking and mountain biking that wind through thick stands of pine and aspen, and lend for great wildlife viewing opportunities. Fall is especially magical when the aspens become ablaze in gold.

Visit the Seven Falls. Partially encased by a one-mile canyon, the sight of seven separate falls splashing together down 181 vertical feet is simply stunning. Picturesque by day, dancing with colors at night, this is not to be missed. Ride the elevator to Eagles Nest observation platform for an eye-to-eye view or climb up 224 steps to reach the one-mile nature trail offering a panoramic peek of the city below. Rekindle the romance in your life, check out these romantic spots in Colorado Springs.
