• This is best place to enjoy sunset with a beer or cocktail in Hikkaduwa! Fun, friendly staff. Simple rooms. Popular with surfers, Funky De Bar is the closest guesthouse to the main surfing point and offers in-house surf board hire and surf school. The bar is on a deck overhanging the beach, overlooking coral reef, the surf point and with views both north and south along Hikkaduwa Beach. If you like a party or want to make new friends, Funky De Bar is for you. There are party/rave nights every Thursday during November - April, with local and guest foreign DJ's and great cocktail list (decent prices), which are always busy and great fun. Tour operators Jayantha or Nero arrange fantastic tours and surf trips (A/C Van or tuk tuk) at a very good price.
