Kødboderne 18, KØBENHAVN V, Denmark

KB18 stands for Kødboderne 18, the address of this raw and sprawling new club venue in the old meat-packing district of Copenhagen. With room for 250 partygoers, the old hall puts on a diverse mix of live music (with everything from punk and rock to house and drum & bass) and electro club DJs. KB18 reopened in March 2011 with new owners (from the now-defunct Lades Kælder just off Strøget), having being closed down a year earlier after falling short of fire regulations. The building is now up to code and appeals to a young, hip crowd who are more into dancing than dress codes and fancy drinks. KB18 has a (relatively) cheap door/bar, with outdoor serving in the summer.
