- Copenhagen's oldest jazz venue is for many aficionados its best and most authentic. This small bar has a capacity of just 100 at a push, making for an intimate atmosphere that can get pretty cramped. Taking in a concert at La Fontaine should be on the to-do list of all jazz lovers in Copenhagen; they're held regularly on Friday and Saturday nights from 10.30pm for a low charge (usually around DKK 60), while the legendary Sunday night jazz sessions have free entry. Starting at 9pm, they can go on well into the early hours if the musicians are in the groove.
