  • Although Mikkeller only started operations in 2006, one-time home brewer and founder Mikkel Bjergsø's tiny brewery was named Denmark's best brewery that same year, and placed on the RateBeer Best List from international beer website RateBeer.com in 2007. In May 2010 Mikkeller opened its own micropub - or 'ølbar' - on the premises of a former French wine bar, offering 15 beers on tap and even more bottled options, including a choice selection from around the world - in addition to Mikkeller's own brews, naturally. The bar also offers light snacks and music.
