Top 10:

Copenhagen Tours

  • The Best of NileGuide
  • A tour of Copenhagen is an ideal way to cram a lot of the city's sights into a few hours, and whether you do it with a guide or independently, you're sure to see the capital from a new angle.

Seeing Copenhagen from the water is an alternative to the view from its streets. DFDS Canal Tours offer a variety of boat tours that allow visitors to decide for themselves how much they'd like to do alone, from the hop-on, hop-off waterbus to guided tours in a variety of languages. A cheaper alternative is a one-hour tour on one of the blue Netto Boats: There is less to choose from here but considerably more value for money.

Copenhagen Sightseeing offer a number of tours, ranging from city bus tours to full-day coach trips to the region's castles, or even across the Sound to Sweden. The one-hour Hop On, Hop Off bus tour runs all year, and with tours at 45-minute intervals during summer, the red London-style double-decker bus is a regular sight around town.

More Copenhageners cycle to work or school every day than drive, so if you really want to experience the city like a local, get on your bike! You can hire one from cycle rental outlets like Baisikeli or Rent a Bike Copenhagen or take a tour with guide Mike Sommerville at Bike Copenhagen With Mike.

Copenhagen is a city famous for its beer, and a brewery tour is a great sightseeing idea. Book a tour with one of the city's microbreweries like Brewpub or head over to the Carlsberg complex; production may have moved elsewhere but the experience continues in the form of fascinating tours run by the Carlsberg Visitor Centre that include a look in at the stables.
