- Located in a building that dates from 1898, Avenue has been a hotel since 1939, but its new, fresh image came about after a total overhaul in 2004. Independently owned, Avenue combines a personal, homely feel with design-conscious rooms, and is a very family-oriented hotel with generous-sized family rooms and a sandpit on the terrace. As well as breakfast – included in the room price - it's possible to enjoy the hotel's lounge and bar. Avenue offers bikes to hire, including smaller ones for kids, and there is a Metro station (Forum) not far from the hotel.

We stayed there for almost a week with 2 small kids in Aug. 2010. Good location, not downtown, but bus, metro stations are very close. Even to the airport it was quicker by public transport....
