    • Hotel Sankt Petri is one of 21st-century Copenhagen's landmarks—a former discount department store transformed into a large, 268-room five-star design hotel glamorous enough to attract visiting celebrities like Robbie Williams. The listed building, dating from around 1930, was completely renovated before reopening as a hotel in 2003; this included hiring Danish artist Per Arnoldi as 'color consultant'; hence the wonderfully bright colors, most notably the blues. The name 'Sankt Petri' refers to another local landmark, the 15th-century German church that is the hotel's neighbor. In 2010, the hotel was voted best business hotel in Scandinavia by CNBC business magazine for its attention to business needs as well as pleasure. Some of the plush amenities include the fitness center, brasserie restaurant, cafe and hip cocktail bar, Bar Rouge. Prices are, not surprisingly, high—for the best deals, try booking a room through an external internet booking agency.

      Very interesting hotel
