- Cafe Elefanten is located in the foyer of the new DANSEhallerne in the rejuvenated Carlsberg neighborhood, and offers visitors to this burgeoning cultural quarter the chance to grab a snack and a drink while they visit the galleries, or before enjoying a dance performance in the adjacent theater. Elefanten opened in the summer of 2010 and is still expanding its opening hours, but the owners (who also run Nørrebro's Rust nightclub) have high hopes for serving top-notch bistro cuisine as well as the promise of a late bar and events. The food is Scandinavian-inspired, with a modern touch and plenty of vegetarian options, and the prices are moderate. Elefanten has a large open space outside that includes a sandbox and terrace for summer dining.
