• Danes tend to overuse the word cosy to describe their cafes, but in the case of Cafe N this word is spot on. This tiny cafe is a real find for vegetarians and especially vegans, for whom eateries are scarce throughout Denmark. The menu is almost as large as the sitting area, though nothing is over DKK 90 – not even the dagens ret (dish of the day), brunch or burger menu, which includes a freshly-pressed orange and carrot juice—be adventurous and opt to take it blended with ginger and beet . The decor is simple: plain tables, benches and chairs brightened up with cushions and throws, flowers in glass organic soda bottles and candles in winter. Amazingly in this small space, Cafe N even manages to child-friendly, with a high chair, changing mat and even some toys: Look out for the black awning outside marked 'N'.
