Description:

  • Despite the name, the food served at Copenhagen's oldest burger joint is not overtly spicy; instead, it is accessible and above-all, kid-friendly. The informal diner-style restaurant, with its wipe-clean table tops and red and green interior is located not far from central Nytorv square and serves burgers, steaks and sandwiches, all of course with fries. The high point at Chili however is not so much in its choice of mains but in the carousel of dips and relishes that accompanies all meals, and which kids in particular will love the freedom of helping themselves—and the place is loose and casual enough not to worry about the mess they make as they go a little too generously on the ketchup. The burgers come in a number of varieties, including chicken, veggie burger and child's size, and despite the informal, cafeteria style, there is table serving. No reservations.
