• Health-conscious, vegan restaurant Firefly opened across the road from new market Torvehallerne in fall 2011. In addition to clean-cut, minimalistc design, Firefly offers an all-natural menu – both raw food as well as cooked dishes—while the juice bar serves detoxifying algae and wheatgrass shots. Firefly is the first place in Denmark to institute high-tech ordering via miniature table computers: Prices range from DKK 65 for snacks/starters to DKK 130-5 for mains like the Indian-inspired 'chole chaat' or firm veggie favorite tofu cutlets. Firefly's ample brunch plate (DKK 130) of refried Mexican beans, guacamole, home fried potatoes, veggie sausages and scrambled tofu—amongst other things—should have vegetarians returning for an extra helping. The bar stays open after the kitchen has closed, serving not just organic smoothies, teas and coffees but also organic cocktails and a range of biodynamic wines and champagnes
