Description:

• The Nimb family's connection to Tivoli dates back to 1877, when they first started leasing a restaurant in the Garden grounds. The family enterprise moved to the Bazaar building soon after it was rebuilt in 1909, becoming popular with the Jet Set during WWI. The restaurant continues to exist in the same building, though the Nimb family no longer run it. It was completely refurbished in 2007, with a trendy, modern look, open plan kitchen and chrome and steel replacing the gold colors of the original restaurant – but retained its Moorish facade. Three floors encompass a small 13-room hotel, restaurants, 'vinotek', and various restaurants, from popular brasserie to the exclusive gourmet restaurant Herman, seating just 40. For Tivoli's 2011 season, Nimb expanded its culinary empire with the bistro-style terrace (located inside Tivoli Gardens in the old divan 2 premises, and offering meeting/banquet facilities as well) and the informal Bar 'n' Grill, with surf and turf dining.
  
  With its entrance out on Bernstorffsgade, Nimb is open even when Tivoli is not. At Nimb Brasserie, a three-course menu will cost a little under 400kr, and the portions are more generous than at Copenhagen's other fancy eateries - plus, there's even a kids menu. Reservation is highly recommended – and note that if you want to visit Tivoli afterwards, you will still have to buy a ticket at the usual gate.
