Restaurant Paustian

Description:

  • Housed in the same harborfront premises as the designer furniture store of the same name, Restaurant Paustian is a fair distance from downtown Copenhagen but worth a visit if you wish to combine smart dining in hip surroundings with traditional Danish food of gourmet standards. Under the ownership of culinary couple Lisbeth and Bo Jacobsen since it reopened at the start of 2011, the previous experimental menus have been replaced with a far more traditional a la carte menu that is filled with hearty fare like home-made sausages with warm potato salad and home-made mustard, and a Danish-style apple pie and cream. Fish and meat mains start from DKK 165 (DKK 135 at lunchtime); vegetarians are not really catered for. Booking most definitely advised.
