• Opened mid-2010, Restaurant Relæ is a gourmet restaurant on a colorful street - Jægersborggade is located in the very heart of Nørrebro, one of Copenhagen's toughest neighborhoods. And yet owner and head chef Christian Puglisi comes with an impeccable CV that includes Spain's El Bulli restaurant as well as Noma, where he was souschef; Italian-born Puglisi moved to Denmark as a cihld and also owns the take away/ deli Manfreds next door. Influences from both kitchens can be tasted in his simple cuisine, and the menus are certainly priced far lower than your typical Michelin-starred ones, at DKK 325 a menu - choose the vegetarian option or a mackerel/ chicken meal. With an informal style, each table is fitted with a drawer from which you can find your own cutlery. It may seem basic, but the ambitious culinary standards here have had critics wanting more from the very start.
