Description:
- The Royal Cafe opened in 2007, just next to the Royal Copenhagen Porcelain store in the very heart of Copenhagen, and as such is a delight for fans of Scandinavian design, using as it does the china and utensils of Royal Copenhagen and Georg Jensen designers. The cafe's other trademark however is what the proprietors have christened 'SMUSHI' - small, bite-sized open sandwiches - a fusion of the traditional Danish 'smørrebrød' with 'sushi' that gives traditional Danish lunch fare a ladylike, dolls' house kitsch. For the less adventurous, the cafe also offers a range of tempting, old-fashioned cakes and serves brunch on weekends from 11am.

Spend your money on the Smushi!
-
Charming, quirky, pretty cafe offering beautifully presented smorrebrød (Danish open sandwiches) with a modern twist, hence the name "Smushi" they use for these little delights....

Yummy sandwiches, soup, salads, desserts, coffee and tea served on various patterns of beautiful Royal Copenhagen china. Very friendly service in a casual setting, designed with tongue-in-cheek...
