• The Bella Center is Scandinavia's largest center for exhibitions, conferences, industry fairs and congresses, and is situated between downtown Copenhagen and Copenhagen's Kastrup Airport, in the up-and-coming Ørestad neighborhood. Bella Center hosts between 25-30 exhibitions and fairs annually, as well as more than 1300 meetings and congresses – from the annual Copenhagen International Fashion Fair (CIFF) to October 2009's international Olympic Congress and December's United Nations Climate Change Conference COP15. The Amager building was opened in the mid '70s, in an undeveloped, out of town area that has now grown into Copenhagen's fastest-growing business regions, and the Bella Center is expanding accordingly. With 4 auditoriums, 63 meeting rooms and a Congress Hall that can hold up to 4,200 people, the Bella Center has a capacity of 20,000 - and growing. The Bella Hotel is expected to open in spring 2011, which will also feature a fitness center and restaurants.
