- After many years on Gammel Strand, one of Copenhagen's best venues for photographic exhibitions moved to premises in the new Carlsberg Byen cultural quarter in spring 2011. The well-lit, spacious venue hosts a number of changing exhibitions a year, attracting reputable artists from both Denmark and overseas for solo as well as group exhibitions, and the challenging program is often provocative as well as visually-stunning. The centre also houses an excellent bookstore with international art magazines as well as sumptuous limited edition photographic books, and The Digital Room, a darkroom and workshop available to artists. Entrance costs DKK 25; closed Mondays.
